overcooked puddings allergen info
The food quality was disappointing. my meal included overcooked yorkshire puddings swimming in too much gravy. the carvery lacked allergen info, and the chef didn't ask about allergies. My wife had an allergic reaction, staff gossiped about it, and no manager checked on her. the floor in the kitchen was dirty. It looked a mess.

Acceptable, but Some Issues
dripping shower uneven bed
The staff was enthusiastic and tried hard.
The shower dripped all night, a constant annoyance. I found a wood louse in the bathroom near a pool of water. The foot of the bed was much higher than the head was great.

reheated kofta oxo gravy
the room was super clean. breakfast was also acceptable.
i found the food quality to be below average. the lamb kofta tasted reheated, and the beef bourguignon seemed to use oxo gravy instead of a proper rich sauce, i was really disappointed.

freezing room screwed windows
the staff WERE amazing, and nothing was too much of an ask.
the room was FREEZING cold upon arrival. the windows were screwed closed, so there was no ventilation.

a mixed bag of experiences
noise pollution light pollution
the staff at the reception were helpful. they managed to check me in slightly early.
i found the noise and light pollution from outside bothersome. street lights shone in and the drinks machine near my room was loud. i asked for a different room around 11 pm, but all the quieter rooms were taken because of late bookings. it was not good.

The reception staff were very friendly and helpful, including the night porter. the breakfast range was substantial. It included cooked options, cereal, toast, and juice.
